Mainstreaming TSP

If, as we expect, TSP successfully achieves its aims and objectives, OSW will seek to extend the programme in London and Tyneside, and to replicate the model in other regions with significant hostel populations.
Due to the cost efficiencies at the core of the model, we believe Local Authorities will be keen to explore the rollout of TSP, possibly through local Supporting People funding. We believe there is also a strong mainstreaming case to be made to central government due to the anticipated savings to Housing Benefit, Jobseekers Allowance and other benefits.
The TSP model has already received high-level support from the Department for Communities and Local Government, the Department for Work and Pensions, the Greater London Authority and Homeless Link. These agencies are key strategic partners and will be instrumental in supporting us to mainstream the project.
