OSW events

OSW organises a range of events so that we can exchange ideas with homeless individuals, frontline workers, managers and policymakers. These include conferences, seminars, receptions, focus groups and consultations.
Employability Seminars
We work closely with Homeless Link to run Employability Seminars across England.
The seminars explore regionally specific issues about how to support individuals to improve their employability. They are an opportunity to facilitate the development of new partnerships and to disseminate lessons from our own services, initiatives and research.
OSW Annual Conference
Every year OSW organises a conference that focuses on current or emerging issues around homelessness, skills and employment. Our conferences are highly participative - enabling frontline workers, homeless individuals, volunteers, senior managers and policy makers who attend, an opportunity to exchange ideas and influence change.
In 2007 the OSW Conference was based on the theme of 'Tackling Multiple Disadvantage and Homelessness’. A report, together with presentations, audio files and films from the Conference, can be accessed on the Conference 2007 page of this site.
