In addition to funding and co-ordinating direct services to clients, and developing and piloting innovative new projects, OSW is involved in a wide range of activities aimed at encouraging the adoption of good practice in the homeless sector, and strengthening the ability of organisations to deliver quality services.

Much of our good practice work centres on developing more client-centred working practices, for example, our Customer Care and Client Participation programmes. We have also been involved in development work around quality standards for the homeless sector.

Other good practice work has included the development of client monitoring and recording systems such as our online database, OSW Link.

OSW believes that the exchange and dissemination of good practice ideas and findings is vital, and we encourage this through conferences, seminars and other events, which we regularly hold.

You can find information on all of the various strands in our current good practice work section of the OSW website. You can also locate details of past work in this area by looking under the Recent Projects heading.
