OSW network
Organisations can become involved with the OSW network in a number of different ways, and with varying levels of commitment and responsibility. In order to clarify these different possible modes of participation, we have outlined three essential levels of membership into which all partner organisations can fit:
1. Communication Level
At the most basic level, organisations can opt to participate simply in terms of exchanging basic information. Communication Level members receive OSW's monthly Email Update and other relevant email bulletins or mailings regarding the work of OSW. They may also be invited to attend cross sector events organised by OSW. In return OSW would simply expect to be informed of basic details about the organisation and the work they do.
2. Collaboration Level
Collaboration Level involves sharing organisational and funding information and making an agreed contribution, and being able to access and benefit from certain OSW services. In addition to receiving the information outlined for Communication Level members, organisations at this level would also receive information on OSW funding bids, open tenders and new initiatives or consultations. Collaboration Level members would also be eligible for membership of OSW regional and subregional groups, and receive updates on the OSW research programme. Other benefits may also be included at this level subject to negotiation, such as use of the OSW Link system.
Collaboration Level members are expected to share organisational information with OSW at a similar level, and potentially to make in-kind contributions in terms of attendance at regional or subregional groups, or commitment of resources as appropriate.
3. Coordination Level
Coordination Level is the highest level of commitment to the OSW network, and involves delivery of services as part of the OSW programme - either directly via OSW funding, or in coordination with OSW. In addition to the elements outlined for the previous two levels, Coordination members will have signed a contract or service level agreement, and will commit to attending required training courses, following OSW monitoring procedures and meeting OSW quality standards.
Organisations currently involved with OSW at the Coordination or Collaboration level are listed on the OSW members page.
